I’m looking for others’ experiences with serzone. I’m a 46 yo man, in my 3rd day of serzone, 50 mg
2x/day for now. Bad side effects: headache like the back of my skull smashed in; drowsiness; and today,
nausea.
The depression was better than this! Has anyone had this experience?
Should I press on?
Will these side effects diminish?
Will they return as soon as the daily miligrams are increased?
hi, emmagirl. depending on the dosaage, and how
your body responds, etc., the docs usually say it
could take 4 to 6 weeks before you notice an
improvement. In my experience the tablets [not the XR
capsules] work a lot faster, for the same dose/strength,
than the capsules do. I was taking 150mg a day of the
capsules, and really didn’t notice a change; I filled a
prescription [which the doc claimed was done wrong, since he
doesn't prescribe the tablets!], took 1 tablet and the
last capsule [still a total of 150mg], and literally,
things looked brighter. At this point, I am back to
capsules, at 300mg a day, taken once a day, before bedtime.
I had been off all antidepressants for at least 6
weeks prior to starting Effexor. By the way, there is a
Yahoo club directed specifically toward Effexor, the
link is below. Good luck [hope any side-effects are
minimal and short-lived!],
Rick
Thanks Rick,
I will have to check out the site
you recommended soon. I have only one each of 37.5 mg
for a week, tomorrow i will start 2 a day, i guess i
should wait a little while more before I feel the
effects. Actually, I have felt a little better today.
could be the meds, could also be the lack of the full
moon, lol. Again, I want to thank you for responding. I
plan on returning to update on my experience. thanks
again.
