Thank you much for helping as you can. My
depression in my head is very under control. Theropy has
helped bunches and I am at peace with what tragedy I had
that stemed the chemical imbalance. It is day two for
taking 1/2 dose, and so far, so good. I am gonna try
this, and hope it works, if not I am gonna see my doc.
Some of the side effects (so far) seem lessened. I
know it is early to really tell, but I am giving it a
go! I was wondering if any of you have done the
same?!?
Take care and thanks! Crys

Hi! First I want to say that if you are feeling
depressed and/or spacey, you should speak to your doctor
and therapist immediately-Do not continue to keep
that inside!!! We no longer have to hide this illness!
I take Prozac with 150mg of Welbutrin and that has
been working well for me for a few years

Hello to Crystlas!
Yes, I have taken the same
amount of Wellbutrin that you are and I too liked my
wine-however in moderation when I could...I had alot of
issues, family suicides, divorce etc. that made it very
difficult for me. I was so concerned that I finally called
one of the pharmacists at Glaxco(?), it's been over a
year now, and was so paranoid about the seizure part
of it that I asked him just what was the percentage
of patients who actually had seizures and he said
that they at Glaxco were required to put that on the
label but that they have not had ONE incident of a
seizure yet. I think that I was relieved but the point of
this note is that if you are still feeling that
'spaced-out' feeling etc., then by all means ask to change to
another anti-depressant until you find what works for
you! Personally, I had a serious leg injury that kept
me on pain medication and so I had to give up the
Wellbutrin but the Darvon and Lortab kept me mentally busy
so that I only needed to use what was indicated for
the immediate problem-the pain meds took the place of
the Wellbutrin.<br>Anyway, ask your doctor if there
is something else to take is all that I can suggest.
YOU WILL find what works for you...be patient & take
care.

I have been on Effexor XR 150 twice a day. I have been doing well on it. I
have tried many other anti-deppressants. I have found Effexor to be the best one
for me.

Take Care,
Bird

Intresting, I had almost the same problem with
serzone. I gained so much weight on it. I was on it for 2
years (I was put on it around the time it was relativly
new). I was also really nasuous from it last summer (I
was afraid to eat anything because I thought I'd
throw it up). Last year the side effects got so bad
that I had my doctor switch me.

Barbarabutterfly;
Thanks for your response.
I'm in week 7 or 8 or so, and really discouraged. The
antidepressant effect seems largely to have worn off. I'm back
to traipsing around under the black cloud. The side
effects continue - dry mouth and eyeballs (my contacts
dry out) and if I take the night pill too late, I
have to get up several times to pee. I'm constantly
tired, though I have seen my productivity soar. I dream
all night long - nothing disturbing; they just don't
stop. I spoke to my doctor today; he, of course, told
me to come in. I dread going through trying other
medications, especially after reading others' horror stories
here.
Thanks for listening,
Glenducci

I've been on serzone for five and a half weeks. I
noticed a difference almost right away. Life has been
very busy lately, and without this med, I would not
have the energy to do everything I've been needing to
do. Things are moving forward in a positive
direction. I've had the same two side effects since I
started on it, dry mouth and drowsiness. But for
everything serzone has done for me, I can definitely put up
with that.

Week 6 of Serzone. Still dry mouth. Headaches
gone. Dreaming all night long, but not as vividly as
before. I slept through the night last night for the
first time in ages. Still sleepy. This has not abated
at all. Fell drowsy like the sleeping pill from the
night before hasn't worn off. Usually lasts all
morning. But--the antidepressant effect has been great.
Last weekend was pretty rough, to the point that I
wondered if I'd gotten a "bad batch". I am so thankful for
this stuff.

That's so funny about the dreams. I'd had really
bad nightmares in the beginning weeks as well as some
major dizziness, naseau and the usual effects. But, the
dreams, I hadn't anticipated.
They are much more tame now, but still more vivid before...which I really
don't mind. I wake up cheery and refreshed, sleeping
better than before the medication and have a positive
outlook about 75% of the time.
Things are looking up. Reconciling with my hubby. Throwing him his 35th
bday party this Sat. and really looking forward to
being with our friends.
How are you doing lately? Any other folks having vivid dreams?
